On behalf of the National Service Scheme Department of Shri Dnyanesh Mahavidyalaya, Nawargaon, a lecture on ‘Understanding Gandhi’ was organized on October 3, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. at Pasayadan Auditorium on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. Prof. Vishnu Borkar, a scholar of history and political science, spoke to the students about Gandhi and non-violence movement, Gandhi’s appreciation of values in religion, necessity of Gandhian thought in contemporary politics, Gandhi’s Satyagraha and freedom movement, Gandhi’s common theme of compassion, etc. Prof. Hemant Meshram, program co-officer of National Service Scheme, introduced the guests while presenting the role behind the program. It was compared by Shruti Yachanalwar, a student of B.Sc. III. Gajanan Kortalwar, program officer of National Service Scheme, thanked the guests. A total of 70 NSS volunteers and other students were present for this lecture. At the end, the program were concluded with National Service Yojana song.
