Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary was celebrated in conference hall on October 31, 2022 on behalf of National Service Scheme of Shri Dnyanesh Mahavidyalaya Navargaon. Rashtriya Ekata Daud was organized on this occasion. National unity oath was taken. Also, the trees adopted by the volunteers of the National Service Scheme were given water on this occasion. Dr. Suresh Bakare, Principal of Shri Dnyanesh Mahavidyalaya, guided the volunteers of National Service Scheme who were present on the occasion of this day. Speaking on the occasion, he said “Indian diversity is rooted in religion, language, culture and geography. Still, national unity is the soul of India. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel gave great strength to the unity of India through this diversity. The whole of India is seen to be built in his creative vision. Pages of history If we look back, we realize how valuable the work of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is for Indian national unity. We need to take a new responsibility as a nation by ending the divisions and differences in the society. The volunteers of the National Service Scheme should understand the diversity of India. It is because of that diversity, India’s national unity is created. It seems to have become stronger. Indian constitution has strengthened this national unity. We need to understand this as a new”. The present program was coordinated by Prof. Hemant Meshram, Program Co-officer of National Service Scheme. He explained the background behind Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary. Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel did the important work of creating a united India by merging those princely states in India before independence. The merger was not an easy task but he did it and gave a message of unity. The program was thanked by Rahul Shende, a volunteer of National Service Scheme. 60 volunteers, teachers and non-teaching staff were present at this time.
