Complete Story

A program on Biodiversity was held on September 15, 2022, in association with the National Service Scheme of Shri Dnyanesh Mahavidyalaya and Sindewahi Forest Zone Office. The students were guided on various topics like wildlife-human conflict, the food chain in the sanctuary, forest resources, and biodiversity in the background of the plan to release the Cheetah from South Africa (from Namibia) to the Kuno National Sanctuary in Madhya Pradesh through the Central Government of India. Vishal Salkar, Range Officer of Sindewahi Forest Zone, guided the students on this occasion. Various employees of the Forest Range Office were present on this occasion. The majority of volunteers of the National Service Scheme attended the program and asked various questions in their mind about the forest, wildlife-human conflict. The program was attended by Range Forest Officer, Usende, and Forest Guard, Sahare. Dr. Gajanan Kortalwar, program officer of the National Service Scheme, introduced all the officers as well as the activities of the National Service Scheme.

Outcomes / Outputs of Activity

1. The pros and cons of wildlife-human conflict were discussed.
2. Students were known for the food chain in the sanctuary.
3. Various animals such as the tiger, leopard, and cheetah were known to the students.
4. Many doubts in the minds of the students about various wild animals were cleared.
